Dusit Thani's Family Tree in PDI

surprised to see the tree we made for the Llamas Family in the Philippine Daily Inquirer's (Nov. 27 ish) front page :)

merry purple christmas

so my cousin did a pretty good job finishing the tree i started :)
we exchanged emails along the way, and was happy with the end result
(cos she was on panic mode doing it alone/installing those Christmas lights lol)

... i think its even better than what i hoped it would be :)
she really did a good job! :)

twigs, tin can, crystals and mirror balls.

soo many things happening this week...

so,....
i decided to leave all things behind and start working on my cousin's Christmas tree :)
and no, i'm NOT obsessed with Christmas trees (as seen in my previous post), nor it is my favorite thing to do in the world... actually, i NEVER decorated one in my entire life! (0.0) (well that happens when you live alone - you have this 4' tree your maid "styled" because the Grand tree is at the family home). so going back, my cousin asked me a favor weeks ago to do something for their SPA (which i'll be posting once i visited the place again - it's sooo Meditteranean-Shabby-Chic!). and i kinda figured to use something un-traditional for a change, hence, this:
i'm just starting...  but already loving it :)

The Christmas Tree Project

Dusit Thani Manila's Christmas Family Tree
What for you is Christmas?

It may be the gifts wrapped in fancy papers and ribbons or children’s carols. For some, it is the meal shared on Christmas Eve no matter how simple or festive it may be.

Here at Dusit Thani Manila, we believe that it is the spirit of giving. And we think that the best of all gifts around any Christmas tree is the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each others’ arms.

And so, this year, Dusit Thani Manila gathers families from different walks of life and invites them to enthuse others by sharing values and traditions their families have been accustomed to. More so, provide an avenue where children of the next generation will be inspired to be a channel of blessings to mankind.

Through this project dubbed as Family Tree, join us as we endeavor to give this season a new and deeper meaning.

The hotel also invites all in-house and dining guests as well as Facebook fans to cast their votes for "liking" the best Christmas Tree, where cash prizes will be donated to the top three winning entries’ chosen charity. Voting is from November 15 to December 25, 2011.

so please, vote for the Llamas Tree:
(which me and my former classmate - yes, we're graduates now! - had been cooking for the past few weeks now :)

with Aivan Magno and the Llamas' :)

and since i'm a lazy blogger, you could read more about the event at Aivan's blog (and yes, i stole some of his pictures too), here: http://aivanmagno.blogspot.com/2011/11/fashionably-late.html
