Feature: Real Living May 2013
for Real Living Ph's May 2013 issue, i helped styled & contribute for the Decor Ideas section - Become a Mix Master. It's all about mixing store-bought pieces with thrift items, something that I loved doing for a while in my own space :) and thankfully, I was able to find furniture pieces that can match some items that i have been collecting for a while, and yes, its a breather to style something rustic & old for a change :)

Feature: Good Housekeeping May 2013
Recently, Good Housekeeping Magazine contacted me if they could feature my room for their Good House section - with some tips on how to redecorate your bedroom on a budget. Of course, mine fits in the topic cos I can't/ don't want to spend too much on my own (space) since I might change the theme again in a year or two. LOL - nothing will be ever permanent. Too bad, the other side of my room wasn't shown, cos that's where most of the "new stuff" went :)

Real Living February 2013
i know, this is a waaay overdue post but you can still grab a copy from Zinio app for your ipad :)
so as a girl who was (and still is) guilty of impulse shopping - it was a pretty good combination to write, contribute, and style for Real Living's Feb 2013 issue of Organize It section - and the topic was about organizing accessories :)
which, i really had fun doing cos most of the tips i gave were how i
really organize my own (plus, for those stuff i only bought in impulse and never really use,
at least they were given some decent exposure lol)

(you cannot really picture me in here cos i am covered in winter clothes - winteran lang ang drama :)

Real Living August 2012
One of the best surprises I got this month was seeing a photo of a set I styled together with the RL team for this month's Decor Ideas section - How to use Decals as Wall Accents - IN THE COVER. Honestly, I didn't expect it! :) so imagine how psyched I was when I realized the cover photo looked really really familiar - "hey, i think we shot this?! Did we?"

So anyway, I hope you guys get a copy of this issue (yeah, i'm always delayed in telling people that lol) but you could still buy it from Zinio app for the soft copy just in case :)

Some things we don't expect, but actually happen :)
My siblings always ask me: how come your room always get featured in local magazines? and how come somebody would actually appreciate it considering its not that interior-looking polished. Lol. Moral support much? They say my room looks like a nursery, more so, its so clutter-y - considering minimalist has always been the trend here in the Philippines.
Cosmopolitan Magazine: Nov 2011.

To be honest, i also asked the same thing! :) So i thought maybe I'm just blessed/lucky to have the right audience in my facebook - cos it was there where i have been posting these random craziness Ive been doing in my room - out of abnormal stress - as i've always believed i have a guardian angel or some sorts who was there for a lookout :) and sure, most people will find my room with too much clutter - but that's how i like my space to be :) being surrounded with all the things that inspire me - even if their very purpose in life is 'just' to occupy space in my table - well at least, they make me happy, right? :)
So going back, yes i was really psyched to have been featured and be in two pages of Real Living March 2012 ish :) like, really? Who wouldn't! When the writers contacted me beg. of this year, i couldn't afford to be choosy! - even if i wanted to (cos i feel like i still need to buy/ change this and that) - but just went out for it! And told them, sure, you can go to my place anytime! haha #excitedmuch.

And just because, i also bought myself a digital copy from Zinio :)

Sometimes i wished i could've done better like put a shaggy rug there *points at reading area*, changed my airconditioner to something better, bought red flowers instead - like sobrang career na to! cos some rooms/houses that's been featured in the same issue looked absolutely stunning! but yeah, i think i would just laugh at the thought that i made too much effort for presentation - i initially did this to satisfy myself anyways and never thought that i would see it on print someday:) so carry na!
So this is my space at its current finest (when my clothes/shoes are actually in my closet, and my pile of work papers are in place lol :)

(i scored this chair from my aunt. saw it on the garage beaten up to pieces - she wanted it back after i reupholstered it tho, lol)
(where i work)
(DIY silhouettes, just because :)

(all the furniture here are old that had been repainted, etc... except for the headboard and the bench in front of my bed)

(DIY lamp)

(the table and dresser that took forever to re-paint :) my theme used to be 'shabby chic' then)

(the dresser that i had since i was nine :)
then my favorite section: where i read books and magazines and gather inspirations :)

(DIY cabinet doors turned screen divider)

(i've been collecting wooden carvings and fossilize them to WHITE.

and my bath... :)

Features: Exhibit. Updated.
ever since the opening of the PSID Exhibit : Oct 2011, i kinda moved on with the project that i wanted to do something new again! lol. i'm happy with the result but i think too much time during construction and styling made me umay in a way.#confused
i guess its just like Cooking - once you're done with the dish, you just want to watch people's reaction and never eat much of it. anyway, i know..... im not making any sense (i just had coffee at 10pm - was sleepy the whole day!)
but looking back at the magazine features we had from December 2011 and having received the
PSID Alumni's Choice Award,
Overall Best Booth, and People's Choice Awards...
i must say, i'm very much ecstatic + happy + relieved. we weren't aiming for any rewards then, so we we're surprised to receive 3 Awards during graduation :)
anyway, here are the updates:

Cosmopolitan Magazine November Issue
so i finally got a copy of my room's feature in Cosmo Magazine's November Issue! :)
*excited * and its really funny cos even if its just one page, i'm soo psyched for these reasons:
1. i didn't expect to have my room featured anywhere but my own facebook
2. i'm just happy doing it before
3. well, at least all the expenses was worth it when people like what they see :)

"Nouvelle VIe"
this is our booth from the exhibit :) taken by a real good friend/ fellow designer classmate, John Daniel Garcia.
Nouvelle Vie, French for New Life.
A Scandinavian Dining Room inspired by Nature crafted from recycled plastics (which is 60% of the room) to prove the material's potential to be used as a Luxe and Eco-friendly material.

what we wanted people to feel when they go to our room is that, one could actually feel warm and cozy inside a room that is mostly composed of plastics. combining it with natural materials like wood, stones, rattan, and other organic elements and muting the colors to highlight and play with the material' shadows and textures.

the Exhibit would also be featured in Condo Living's December Issue :)
